Shiksha mandal’s, Jankidevi Bajaj College of science along with Alumni association presents biodiversity photography contest on Dec 07,2012, a contest aimed at capturing the uniqueness of Indian wildlife. This event has been conceptualized by the college as a means to celebrate the biodiversity decade as well as golden jubilee year of college. The purpose of this mega event is to aware the society especially students about the wonders in biodiversity through the art of photography and to encourage and inspire passion about the biodiversity existing on our planet.

Competition calendar:
Entry commencement : Nov 01, 2012
Closing date of entries : Nov 30, 2012
Judging of entries : Dec 07, 2012
Exhibition date : Dec 08, 2012
Venue: College hall
Time: 10.00 am to 05:00pm
Prize distribution : Dec 08, 2012

There are five competition categories:
1. Wild: Weird and Wonderful
2. Microscopic: size doesn’t matter
3. Spectacular flora
4. Anatomical explorations
Prizes
The best three entries among all these categories will be rewarded with cash prize of 
First prize : Rs. 21,000/-
Second prize : Rs. 15,000/-
Third prize : Rs. 10,000/-
Two consolation prizes : Rs. 5,000/-
The selected entries will also be displayed at the Exhibition; ‘The frozen moments-2012’ hosted by the organizing institute and also would be certified.
